v1.2.9
An in-car frame from the Tokyo Game Show period.
v1.2.9 is the newest update, from 7 October 2026, titled “v1.2.9 Update and a Development Status Update.” Twenty-two older updates sit under it, back to the demo launch on 8 February 2026. Filters hide the kinds you are not reading. All twenty-three stay available.
A patch, a notice, a show appearance, and the launch are different kinds of news. Patch 1.1 is a patch even though its version label is the word notice. The two 22 March items are notices, one of them a fix for the other. The Tokyo Game Show item is the show appearance. “Demo released!” is the launch.
What v1.2.9 changed for players
v1.2.9 is two changes at once. One half is expressions, hair, and conversation faces. The other half is the studio’s status: token cost, a bank loan, a team of four, and no decision to close the demo. The paid price, when it exists, is meant to include expected AI use. Players are not charged a separate token bill.
Google Cloud could not grant a manual tier increase, so the preferred Gemini route is not the one carrying most sessions. A right turn on a left request sits with replies that run too long and lines that feel artificial. Her ordinary learning mistakes stay. The goal is fewer repeats that only waste the lap.
Discord is where a bad line goes. The invite is on the Easy Fox site. A status update does not file your save. Model names live with the voice routes. The dates show which morning the route changed.
How to read an older note
Updates run newest first. Jump to a version if you already know the number. Choosing a version moves you to that update. Filters use the address bar, so a link can open on patches, notices, the show, or the launch. Show means the Tokyo Game Show appearance.
Two updates share 22 March 2026. The earlier one is the slow or failed replies. The later one shipped the fix, and you still have to download it. Hiding notices hides both. Hiding patches leaves the show appearance and the February launch in view.
Patch 1.1’s version label is the word notice, and it is still a patch. If June seems to vanish, look under patches, not under notices. The November plan in the June update is history. It is not the date to wishlist against.
Tokyo Game Show and the AMD path
On 10 September 2026 the demo is in Indie 80 at Booth E-53, second floor, Halls 9-11, and it is one of eight finalists for SENSE OF WONDER NIGHT 2026. At the booth the S-curve lesson ended with a DRIVE COMPLETE banner, and the release plan there was still 2026 Q4. On 7 August 2026 the plan was still a fourth-quarter 2026 release, with Japanese support still ahead. The full game is a PC simulation from Easy Fox, dated January 2027, and the price has not been announced.
Those show-period dates are older than v1.2.9 and older than January 2027. They are what visitors heard at the show. Wishlist against January 2027. A leftover Q4 label does not override that month.
AMD work is a chain, not one checkbox. Experimental RX 6000 through 9000 support is 1.1.1 on 13 July, with a possible one-minute first launch. TTS Low and more GPU crash fixes are 1.2.3. A suspected Ryzen crash is 1.2.5. The both-AMD crash is 1.2.7. Quote the build that matches your CPU and GPU pair.
Emotional expressions and new hair are in, including expressions during talk. Gemini usage limits followed a twentyfold rise in players. The demo is primarily on the OpenAI fallback. Replies run long, feel artificial, or turn the wrong way. Russia’s alternatives are still in test. Demo AI is over $1,000 a day. The team of four has not decided to close the demo.
A temporary model trades some capability for reliability. She no longer refuses the tutorial seatbelt or engine start, and a reply that printed none is fixed. Some mainland players on the Global build still cannot reach the China model. QQ group 874276824 is the contact for that miss. Russia gets a slower connected model because global AI is blocked.
Crashes on PCs that combine an AMD processor with an AMD graphics card are the target of this build. If you are on Intel with an AMD card, or AMD with an NVIDIA card, this particular crash is not the one this build fixes.
The previous fallback became the primary model because Gemini disruptions were frequent. Crash reports are still open. Send player.log when the game dies.
She was speaking too long. Some mainland players stuck on the Global build can be routed toward mainland model servers. An extra S-curve tutorial is in this build.
Indie 80, Booth E-53, 2F, Halls 9-11. The game is one of eight SENSE OF WONDER NIGHT 2026 finalists. This is a show appearance, not a downloadable patch.
TTS Quality is set to Low, and further AMD GPU crash fixes land here. If speech sounds flatter after 8 September, check that quality flag before you assume the voice model changed.
Sister, player, and vehicles get a visual overhaul. AI-assisted art is replaced by a newly joined artist, and the AI-content disclosure changed. Full sister customization, an infinite-loading fix on some GPUs, and the first official gameplay trailer ship together.
Her voice is overhauled and Voice Quality arrives: higher is more natural, lower is faster. This update planned the official release for November. The release month now is January 2027. That update did not add a thirteenth spoken language.
Gemini API delays were the cause that morning. A hotfix later the same day reset servers. Keep both updates. One is the failure. The other is the reset, and the client still needed a download.
Silence at the first stage, and language settings that did not apply, are the two fixes. Check applied language before you file a “wrong voice” note on a current build.
Response speed, missing localization, and microphone sensitivity. In this March build Korean speech stopped and Korean text clipped. Those problems belong to this March build. They do not mean Korean speech still stops on v1.2.9.
